A last-minute call and off we go…a wedding reception this Saturday in a very cool, vibe-ey place. Should be loads of fun. We had a marathon practice last night running through all the specific requests from the bride and groom that we have in our wheelhouse, polished up a few others, and I believe we are spot-on for the event.
I shall paraphrase from the book of Jake and Elwood…let us meditate upon their wisdom:
“It’s three days to the wedding. We’ve got a full tank of gas, half a packet of cigarettes, it’s dark, and we’re wearing sunglasses… Hit it.”
Unfortuntately we don’t know where to start counting from. Gotta do something about that. SOON.
Well, we keep coming up with new material to do…stuff that we think you might like, stuff that WE like (and if you don’t like it, tough!), and sometimes stuff that we just feel like we ought to be playing for some ill-defined reason or no reason at all.
Here’s a thought: why don’t we ask YOU what you’d like to hear? You can post comments to our post here on the website or to the article that will show up on Facebook when we post this.
Can’t guarantee that everything will make it onto the list, but hey, it’s worth a try!
Why do we get the feeling that we’re going to regret this later??? 🙂
Yours in Tripodness,
Well, this is already on the audio player, but we figured it would be worthwhile to post some video from the same live gig that the audio came from.
If any of you out there have pictures from a previous Tripods gig, regardless of what the lineup of the band was at the time, can we get a copy, pretty please?
Mail your pics to:
Please send only one or two photos per email, as our mail server may reject messages with too many or too large attachments.
The audio files for these were a little too large to load the normal way, so we had to find another method to get them onto the web server. Hopefully you’ll enjoy them as much as we enjoyed playing them.
Figured we’d upload some songs that we did live. We just had a little portable recorder sitting halfway back down the room, so there’s a lot of audience noise, but welcome to our Holiday party jam!
This was a private party, so no, you didn’t miss out on catching us at your favorite bar…yet.
